City Armory was born from the conversations that happen when two dads meet at their kids’ Catholic school. Conversations about shared values, mutual respect, and a deep appreciation for the role firearms play in personal responsibility and freedom.
Founded by Jason Mendieta, a former U.S. Army Infantryman, and Matthew Stutzman, a lifelong firearms enthusiast, City Armory is more than just a retail gun store. It’s a place where quality, integrity, and purpose come together to serve everyone, from first-time buyers to seasoned professionals.
We offer a curated selection of firearms, gear, and accessories.
Our in-house services include custom builds, certified Cerakoting, firearms cleaning, laser engraving, and other armory services.

Jason Mendieta
Co-founder
Jason Mendieta is a former infantryman with a steady, disciplined approach to leadership. His background shaped how City Armory was built—deliberate, detail-driven, and grounded in responsibility. He believes firearms should serve a purpose—whether for security, sport, or leisure—and that ownership begins with understanding, not impulse.
For Jason, the shop reflects the things he values most: discipline, honesty, and responsibility. It’s not about selling as much as it is about doing things right—and creating a place where our clients feel respected, not rushed.
Matthew Stutzman
Co-founder
Matt Stutzman is a builder by instinct and by experience. He’s spent years working with firearms—understanding their mechanics, refining their function, and troubleshooting the details others overlook. At City Armory, he leads the technical side of operations, from in-house cleaning and repairs to custom builds and gunsmithing services.
Matt approaches his work with patience and precision. For him, the goal is simple: every firearm that leaves the bench should be reliable, well-fitted, and built with purpose—whether it’s for security, sport, or leisure. It’s a mindset that shows in the tools he uses, the systems he builds, and the trust he earns from clients who value quality.
